More babble..

Good lovely Friday morning, the view from Mama's back deck is amazing.. I have always loved taking photos from there Sunsets and Sunrises.. It's a wide open deck.. But my heart's desire is to make it a closed in deck with large windows so I can have privacy.. but as you know I believe everything to be so  far feched. But everyone keep saying don't give up have faith so that's what I'm doin... I'm going home today to finish my Spring clean agenda.. then back here Saturday morning to start the process of more cleaning maybe with the things in Mama's room with a sidewalk sale I have to do something with all this stuff.. "Nightmare place"
It has such great potential but who know if I can accomplish it.. Honestly I'm tired out. everydays my hands hurt have such pain in them.. my body and surely my mind is tired.. I ask God continuously to give me strength and help.. I can't do it alone anymore.. My motor has pooped out..Sometimes I just want to cry at all this mess. I keep trying to find the brighter side of it all but don't see that light at the end of the tunnel at all. I don't mean to complain but I have to get it off my chest...

Mama, just before she left us, her best friend by her side.. since they were 16 I believe.. I talked with her yesterday she and her hubby have many health problems now to.. they are 79 like Mama.. I treasure this photo of them.. Dorthy is her name.. Mama loved her dearly and she loved Mama.. yesterday she told me I can't believe she is not here and I'm sure you feel more.. I can't either at so many levels.. It feels as if she is somewhere away.. some reality steps in when other things arrise.. but we all feel strange Mama was the last of everyone here.. The rest are gone now.. It's so sad.. I never dreamed it would be like this..

 So lets switch it up before I start crying away...

Autumn is on it's way... Yay..

Hello everyone, I have been home at my original house sort of spring cleaning so to speak.. It was a dusty busty mess.. Im getting ready for Autumn and Fall.. my most favorite time of year.. I just adore it.. So I have changed my room to Browns and Pinks and Beiges some Roses.. My photos didn't come out how dark they looked in my phone which I thought to be strange should have used my I-pad..

 Alittle bit rusty color too.. I haven't finished yet just accomplished the bed and linens..and the same nite stand, I added a Small Banner to the Wall above the bed, which I purchased from a blogger, but I can't remember the name and I forgot the card with her name on it.. so silly of me.. I will tell you later because I want her to get the credit for her banner, it's so sweet..

It's just a small banner, but so sweet.. I love it, the colors are very vibrant only my photo's just aren't showing it.. the photo's don't do it any justice.

 There this is a bit better.. it's tied with sweet vintage ribbons... Sage green and a dark pink.. 

 O so pretty they are.................

When I woke up this morning everything felt wonderful and clean and crisp.. Just like Autumn

Duevet covers are so nice to have for the fact you can purchase them they don't take up as much room as quilt or comforters..therefore you can buy many of them..

I found this lovey brand new brown one months back at the second hand store and later found some nice lighter brown shams.. 

then recently I found a multi quilt looking kind of sham with browns beiges and a bit of rust.

and yesterday when I was cleaning the hall closet I found some Roseish brown throw rugs.. nice.. 

they all mix in together and perfect for Autumn/Fall

My tea set Mama bought for me we never got to use it because I was looking for tea cups to match

It was expensive. We were suppose to have a tea party with them just me and her.. 

well I guess when I find the cups and saucers I will have to have one in her memory.

a lovely trip to the Goodwill....

O I kno.. but it's okay.. I just had to get them.. Not knowing what they were new or antique but I kind of had a feeling they were old.. But I bought them because I just loved them.  They reminded me of Chandeliers...

Just love the sparkle and shinny of them...the only pieces they didn't have were cereal bowls.. they had these flower ones so I took them...

They had more but I just took enough for four place setting, but now I'm wondering maybe I should had took them all.. but to late now, and they were so cheap. 2.49 for the large dinner plate the other pieces 99 cents.. 

They also had this wonderful serving bowl with they had two, but I only took one thinking that maybe the next person who bought the rest would want it.. trying to be thoughtful here..

I picked up these two little clear glass candle holders as well, Mama has some tall old clear glass ones they will all look lovely together...

Large dinner Plates...

                                                                              

Flat soup bowls.. which I really like I have many of them in different patterns.  

They are Depression glass.. the name to these lovely dishes is called KIG Malaysia  " Fleur De Lis." Lariat Design... Nice name huh.. I thought so to.. They want 11.95 for a plate I paid 2.49 nice.. Plus 11.99 for shipping.. O my and on line they have tea cups and saucers to match but the price with shipping is like 25... and they have a large round flat fruit bowl.. but that's 35.00 plus shipping .. boo hoo.. maybe one day in the future you can't get everything.. right. I did find four cereal bowls that I bid on for 6.95.. hopefully I get them shipping is only 11. 95 so not to bad.. everythings a wait and see .. If I don't I'm not worry because I have the little flower bowls which are cute.. I had the large salad bowl to those little bowls but gave it to my daughter in law I believe.. o well lol..

I do have something else to share with you.. I could not stop myself I just really really had to.. here take a peek....

This was a little bit.. but I told myself I don't care.. I did get the seller to lower it 20 dollars.. I wanted a red one from Avon forever but they stopped making it.. so here I'am with this.  It will be on it's way.. When and If "I pray" get Mama's house all fixed I'm going to have a small party with family ( My children and grandchildren to celebrate and maybe a few neighbors and friends ) I intend to use this.. I'm so in love with it.. It also has blue hooks and a blue laddle to match.. How elegant Mama loved Carnival glass.. wish she could be here to see it all... All I want is to fix this little cottage and make Mama proud.. she never could fix it and I while she was alive tried to but it never stayed clean.. I finally gave up after 35 years... she would always just one more time.. but I just couldn't no more.. I was tired and broken. and remain that way now.. So I pray big that God my Lord and Father will help see me through it all.. so at least before I die I can see it complete.. Well enough of that.. so I hope I find you all well and I hope you enjoyed your visit with me..

Miss Apple Betty.............

Helo good evening, So I was feeling like this.. lol... not really but I'm tired out I have been at home trying to Spring clean my house it looks as if a tornado came through.. My youngest daughter with my two grandbabies stay with me and boy what a mess.. I spent the whole day yesterday just cleaning the Kitchen and bathroom.. and started on the Dinning Room .. which I didn't finish and thought I would do today but ended up leaving to bring Vee to wash clothes at Mama's house cause I just have a stackable washer and dryer at home and they aren't to large..

I also picked Apples from the tree that the neighbor just lets them fall all over the floor.. 

and I thought that I would get to them last night but couldn't 

so this morning I put some laundry out and started in after I made tea and Oatmeal.. 

I was going to make a Apple pie, but then I thought well that crust not good for my Gall bladder issues.

So that's when Apple Betty came in Hehehe..

as I ate my Oatmeal I peeled the apples...

Sliced them up.. How do you like my Green glass depression bowl.. I found it in Mama's storage when I was cleaning it.. I have a set of yellow ones but this it large and too pretty.. 

I really love this Lemon juicer.. the top has a ridge with openings for the juice to drain out and the seeds and pulp stay behind.. 

Okay ready for the Oven..
Are your ready for the simple recipe.. Ok, here it is....

 Apple Betty

    4 cups thinly sliced apples

    1/4 cup orange juice

    3/4 cup all-purpose flour

    1 cup white sugar

    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

    1 pinch salt

    1/2 cup butter

    PREP
    30 mins

    COOK
    45 mins

    READY IN
    1 hr 15 mins

Directions

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9 inch pie plate.

    Mound sliced apples in the pie plate. Sprinkle with orange juice.
    In a medium bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Scatter over the apples.
    Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes. Serve warm.

( I didn't have Orange Juice so I used some Pineapple juice that worked out fine.)

 

It taste nice and would be lovely with some Vanilla Ice Cream.. a simple little recipe for a quick desert..

Difficulties.

I'm not happy with posting from my I-pad at all. I can't get the photos larger. Waste all that monies for not much.

Just A Bit Of Sunshine

So as I sat here yesterday I seemed to be full of sadness...  and felt really down. So I told myself I needed 

to get up and go but my mind and body wasn't really wanting to..

But I pushed me into the shower and out the door, and I ended up at Ross Store..

 

And look what I found.. but they only had one four place setting left they were all gone..

One set of plates and one set of bowls let... so I snatched them up they also had one set of salad plates 

left but I lefted them behind..

I have some plain white ones to change it up a bit..

but I really like them I brought them to Mama's house to cheer me up from the drabby dishes here..

I love all the colors.. so brite and pretty like sunshine...

When I walked around the corner next isle, I found these on sale for just 3 dollars.. I was like should I,

lol there only 3 dollars ok I told me..

Looked up and found this cute Turquoise pitcher.. cute I said to me.. It was marked down too.. nice

if I want I can put flowers in it.. 

and the Orange Gravy boat so cute, they remind me of Fiesta ware. I was just looking at Fiesta ware on Pinterest.. and saying later I want to purchase some .. I have Pink salad bowl and sm bowls and salt and pepper.. all in Pink

but would like some blues and who knows.. 

But this will do for now, I really needed to see some brite color..

All in all I think I spend 29.00 dollars for the lot.. Not bad for some sunshine..

p.s. A little Fiesta ware.. wish it was mine..

So I ran off the Salvation Army/Goodwill

I came to Mama's in the morning to do my bible study. . . And soon after I thought I know that I should but I have this huge urge to.. So I thought to myself I need to go get gas and being lol that the Salvation Army is right around the corner from there might as well go.. I don't have to buy anything. I can just look.. So off I went out the door Jumped in the car and off I went.. Not really expecting to get anything...I arrived there and Wow to my surprise they have gotten extremely expensive I couldn't believe how rediculous the prices were.. I huffed and puffed at them.. just insane.. Might as well go to Ross and buy some things... There were several things I wanted but wasn't about to pay that price.. If that was the case I could just have went on Ebay and paid there prices.. just silly.. I did manage to get a couple of things...

This is a comforter.. like brand new, but before this I looked at another and I almost chocked they wanted 30.00 dollars for this warn crappy one.. and I thought when I saw this it would be the same if not more.. But guess what it was only ten dollars.. That's it just ten.. I was like this one is made much much better a better quality and more newer and yet it was only ten dollars.. but of course I didn't complain to long I snatched it off the hanker and went on.. being perfectly happy.. I bought this and a tupperware blue pitcher and an older White one from tupperware.. which was in great condition.. I always make sure I smell them as well to make sure they weren't used for some odd things.. lol.. but they where perfectly find.. I also found one more good deal.. and Johnson brother's church hill plate in Blue & White which I forgot to take a photo of.. It was marked 7.50 which is still great but it happened to be 50 percent off.. So that was a awesome deal.. satisfied with what I had found but a little bit sad because there were other things I would have bought but too expensive.. So I thought what the heck the Goodwill's not to far I'm going to see what they have today haven't been there for a while to this one.. I always seem to find good Linens there.. and it's not a big place and their Linens are always so cheap..

I first found these adorable little lucheon sets.. so cute.. there was six but I only got four.. and get this they are only 2.49 ea.  Fabulous .. they are just to cute.. can't wait to use them...

Underneath are Valances, lovely browns, burgandy oranges, Little bits of greens.. they are beautiful in my opinion.. with tassels and beads.. .. for only $2/49 ea.  but these are brand new.. they have to go to the cleaners but honestly I think they are well worth it.. I doubt the cleaning will be that much for four of them..

Then I found this lovely Iron stone Pitcher.. It a bit larger in person.. It's really beautiful and great conditon as well I did pay 4.00 dollars for it but I wanted it cause you just don't see them anymore and I have been waiting.. It's nice and heavy.. It's stamped on the bottom but I can't make it out..

And what about these Hydreageous.. they look real.. but there not.. Some lady said she wanted to take them from me.. lol They were  $2.49.. and look close to the right side of the photo.. and Avon piece.. all the parts weren't there but I loved it just the same and 99 cents who can go wrong..

But I just had to have this one.. in Blue.. 

well O I almost forgot the last thing I found there.. and it had no price marked on it.. 

So I asked and the Man told me hold on cause he was busy.. 

I brought it up to the counter and told him I'm pretty sure that I want it so hold it for me  

Here's the top of it, Isn't it pretty and so Victorian looking, can you guess what it is???

The front, it has several knicks but I really don't care I fell in Love with it lumps and bumps and all

well he told me it was 15.00 I was like really it has so many scrapes etc.. So I told him what about 10.00

He yelled for the manager and she came over. And I asked her can we go down to 10.00 or something.. it has many knicks.. She looked at it and said 11.99 and I said great and sold.. lol It's perfect for Mama's Rose cottage.. 

It just fit into the trunk.. Phew thank goodness.. with the Comforter to the right.. was so happy .. 

So Off I drove with a good feeling now. the Conforter is drying already and I have the little truck inside the kitchen for now.. I left everything inside for now..

For safe keeping so to speak.. It was a good day in all 

Bible study we accomplished a lot 

and I'm satisfied now..
